The market for Chinese antiques is changing. Items in the top 20 percent of prices are still selling well, but the rest of the Chinese market is down by as much as half since January 2012. There are plenty of wealthy Chinese buyers of luxury goods and fine antiques. It is said that one-third of the luxury purchases in Europe in 2011 were made by Chinese tourists.
