Last month we featured an article on insulators used on telephone poles. The magazine for insulator collectors, Crown Jewels of the Wire, included some unique ways to repurpose these glass caps. The article mentioned how to transform an insulator into a small planter by adding self-adhesive clear plastic bumpers for feet. Other examples found online included turning the insulator upside down to use as a candleholder, making insulators into pendant lamps that hang from the ceiling, and mounting insulators on a board to create “wall hooks.”
