A note from Terry Kovel …

It’s here. I have finally sorted, cleaned, researched, and assembled about 444 lots from the country store collection we started soon after we built our house. I hired a nearby auction gallery I have known for years, and the auction—live and online—will take place on September 17.

The country store has served as a party room, game room for the kids, and the “anchor desk” for our TV shows. You could recognize many of the items. They include most of our non-food items like tobacco, auto, political, medical and cosmetic signs and war posters, as well as bottles, scales, display cases, full-size grocery store displays, and collections of keychains and labels. There is even a huge Buster Brown head and Poll Parrot shoe display with a bobbing parrot. Go to RachelDavisFineArts.com, look around, and start bidding online now, or watch the auction fun and bid live on Saturday, September 17.
