The World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893, also called the Chicago World’s Fair, celebrated the 400th anniversary of the landing of Christopher Columbus in the New World. This printed fabric was created in honor of the exposition. All World’s Fair memorabilia is popular with collectors today.

Frans Wildenhain is a potter (1905-1980) who worked in Rochester, New York from about 1950 to 1975. His work was on display this year at the Rochester Institute of Technology. There has been a lot of recent publicity about Wildenhain and the Rochester exhibit's catalog is available through the university's website. Collectors...
