2 coin silver spoons 6 Months, 4 Weeks ago
These 2 spoons are almost identical, except for weight. They don't seem to be stamped, they have similar maker's marks, WR2G or WR&G, on the neck of the spoon. One has 3 hallmarks in the bowl,a 5 pointed star over a crescent, a 4 letter word which is indecipherable and a rectangle which contains some writing which is also indecipherable. The other has a hallmark on the stem. A walking bear in a rectangle and letters above and below.. They were found in a junk box which came from the east coast. There is also a "G" monogrammed on the back of both spoon handles. I am guessing they are probably mid to late 1700's?
