Robby the Robot first appeared in the 1956 American movie, Forbidden Planet. A Japanese toymaker soon copied Robby to make this “Mechanized Robot” toy. It’s an icon today—and sold for $6,780 in an online auction. We won’t cause any friction if you take a look at more toy robots.
