Ames Silver

Q: I have been trying to learn something about this silver-plated tea set I bought at a tag sale in my hometown of Chicopee, Mass. The Ames Sword Co. building in Chicopee is a historical landmark, but I can’t find much information about the silverplate made there. I think this is a presentation set, because the teapot is engraved with some words that start and end: “Gen … Morrison.” I can’t make out the middle of the inscription. What can you tell me about the set?
