Minnie Figurine

Q: I’d like to learn more about my celluloid Minnie Mouse. She has been in our family for about 70 years. The black string in the back is her tail. The white string runs through her body to her moveable arms and legs. She’s about 7 3/4 inches tall. There are two paper stickers on the bottom of her shoes. The larger one says, “Minnie Mouse, Copr. 1923, 1930, by Walter E. Disney.” The smaller one says, “Inspection Passed T-C-T-M-A, Made in Japan.”

Bradley Lamp

Q: My father-in-law found this old lamp in an abandoned house he was fixing up to sell. The lamp has three light bulbs that turn on with pull chains. The shade is glass with cutout metal over it. The base is marked “Bradley & Hubbard Mfg. Co.” around a triangle with an oil lamp inside. I thought Bradley & Hubbard made oil lamps, not electric ones.
