Grimwades water set
Q:
My water set--a pitcher and six cups--was left to me by my mother, who inherited it from her aunt more than 50 years ago. The bottom of each piece is marked “Arborine Ware (Reg), Byzanta Ware, Grimwades, Stoke on Trent, England.” Each of the pieces has a gold-painted rim and a design of two kingfisher birds perched in trees on an orange background. The pitcher is 6 inches tall and the cups 4 1/2 inches tall. I have not been able to find other dishes in this pattern. Can you identify the pattern?
