Enter the weight of your object in ounces, subtracting the weight of any non-gold parts. (Calculate weight here using a regular or postage scale.)

STEP 3:

Enter the gold Karat of your item.

STEP 4:

Click the “Calculate” button to calculate the scrap value of your item in U.S. dollars.

(Remember, scrap buyers of gold will pay you less than this amount because they have to resell the gold.)
