Thank you! My grandmother was actually English and my grandpa Norwegian. My grandpa had a brother who was in the service, but was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska. How old do you think the dish is? I didn't think, but it could possibly have been a gift. Or possibly handed down to her from another relative. The Germans were on my father's side.
