Coated Glassware & Pitcher 1 Year, 3 Months ago
Could anyone give me information on tumblers and a pitcher that I've acquired. Both the tall tumblers and the small rounded glasses hold approx. 12 oz. They are clear glass with various colors of coating with a white swirly design. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

i'm not a professional but I know a lot of brides got these for gifts in the early 60ties, usally a pitcher came with a set of glasses. Most people call them spun threaded glasses. A set of glasses and pitcher just sold at an auction for $12.00. They are pretty but not highly collectable so enjoy.

I did find out that they are eames color craft "spaghetti string" tumblers. made from 1940 through the 1960's in eames' indianapolis factory. pattern also identified as "netting" and made by bartlett-collins c1965 by gene florence's depression glass patterns book III. finish called "plasti-sol" said to be virtually unbreakable. meant to keep your drink colder and minimize condensation on the glass outside. also much easier to hold with the rubberized outside finish.
