Unknown dining table - looking for what design it 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
My mother has a dining table that they bought in the 60's from a yard sale in Marin, CA.
It is a 48" round with octagon pedestal base. 5 leaves. So it gets big.
I cannot find a makers mark anywhere so finding the value to get it sold is very hard.
Can anyone tell me what it is? I know the maker is impossible but the style is something I cannot figure out.
I can't get an image to load but it is online at: http://tucson.craigslist.org/fuo/3667642248.html

How old is my dresser? 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I just got this from a yard sale today, and I'm not to sure how old it is. I know it was made by the memphis furniture mfg co. The number on the decal says either 7091/4 or 709 1/4. It had wooden wheels with cast iron covers, dovetail drawers, a swivel mirror attached on top, 3 drawer dresser with locks on the top dresser drawer. Parts of it have been redone, but 95% of it I'm sure is still original.

What is this kitchen table? 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I got this mystery table for free from a local orchardist who lost track of whom they got it from. According to them, it survived a house fire and had the soot damage to prove it. I did a gentle clean on it to get as much of the soot and smoke smell off it as I could (as you can see in the images, it started off soot black).

My grandma advised me to look around for manufacturer marks on it, but I can't seem to find anything or am not sure where to look. The table is about 46" L x 28" W x 32" H. It has what my grandma called 'bread drawers', two metal bottom flour bin drawers and two cutting boards that retract from right above the drawers.

I have no idea if this is something somebody has made, if this was made by a company, or if this is even an antique. Any advice would be great.

Habsburg Bishops Chair? 2 Months, 1 Week ago
Habsburg Bishops Chair? 4 Hours, 18 Minutes ago
Hello, My name is Sasha. I'm new here, to this forum.
I tend to come across a lot of "junk" that ends up being of coveted value. And sometimes I just come across a lot of junk.
The users and administrators seem to be very helpful and knowledgable. I was hoping someone could help by shedding light on this Bishops Chair.
I recieved this piece of furniture from a well traveled army colonel.
I was told it was that of the Habsburg Dynasty from their hunting lodge (in Vienna?).
The chair is beautiful. But, I'm unsure that the information given to me about it is truth.
Can anyone tell me what to look for on this piece? Or, does anyone have any knowledge of such things?
Your opinion?
Thank you very much.
