What was this used for? William Bal Company Chest 1 Year, 9 Months ago
I am new to collecting antiques and I recently picked up a small wooden box with a leather strap and a lock that has a sticker on the inside that reads The William Bal company N.Y. and N.J.. I know the William Bal Company made large traveling chests and various containers for the military but I can not find anything like my box. I think that it was used in the military because it has a serial number printed in to the leather on its lid that reads "E3584" but i'm not sure. Any help in determining what it is and what it was used for would be much appreciated.

Odd 100 yr old chair any clue to style or maker? 1 Year, 9 Months ago
I am totally stumped on this one!
I have sent Photos to AW, Kovels and Antique Road show folks…no reply or input yet from anyone…realize they/you are busy folks!
This chair belongs to a 92 yr old Neighbor/Friend and told her I would try to ID the Era and designer for her…any input would be appreciated!
A really neat design and look…only marking is a Model # (?) 6666?
