Q: I have an old cookie jar I bought at Knott’s Berry Farm in California for my mother in the mid-1950s. It’s shaped like an elf’s head. The jar has big protruding ears, painted side-glancing eyes and rosy cheeks. The cover is a saggy red pointy hat. I saw a picture of a similar cookie jar made by California Originals, but the lips were “cupid’s bow” shape and more pronounced than the straight lips on my elf cookie jar. Can you identify the maker and tell me its worth?
