Glanmore National Historic Site
Built in 1883, Glanmore National Historic Site was designated a site of national historic significance in 1969 because of its architecture. It is an outstanding example of domestic second empire architecture. On display on three floors are objects original to the house, regional artifacts and fine European art and antiques from the Couldery Collection, donated to the City of Belleville in 1955. Of special note is our large collection of Victorian dog and cat paintings by British artist H. H. Couldery (1832 - 1913). The Museum is open September to May 1 pm to 4:30 pm; June to August 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Closed Mondays and holidays. Admission charged.
