Hi, Can anyone offer any info on this pewter mark? It is on a tankard that has Carolus Magnus (Charles The Great) on the lid. The Mark is an eagle with the letters AF under it. I have looked and can not be sure if this is a German City Mark or something else. I did find that this eagle is the same eagle that Carolus Magnus used as his Crest. I'm pretty sure this does not go back to his day 800 AD but what the stamp is I'm not sure. Please help.
