Re:Joseph Heinreich Info 2 Years, 2 Months ago

Joseph Heinrichs started in 1897 in New York and later expanded to Paris and closed 30 years later. He furnished the very best hotels in N.Y.with his restaurant ware line. Exquisite pieces of Arts and Crafts movement design may reach top prices of $ 1.500. More common kitchen ware is rarely sold over US$ 250. This particular piece has completely lost its silver plate. Dating: first decades of 20th century,he has already expanded to Paris, i.e. later production. I would say $ 200 but if I had it I would keep it, $200 would not change your friend’s life.
I hope it helped,
Ivan

Otto Wolter (hallmark- a chalice) Schwaebisch Gmuend.
Founded 1875- active to 1991.Detailed dating is impossible!Crescent and crown indicates after 1888, if Otto Wolter hallmark is with Loth 13 and not with crescent and crown than it could be taded 1875-1888.
German silver is often found without maker`s mark.

I already know most of this except Otto Wolter is a goblet not a chalis he has three styles of goblets if that will help you. thank you for your info and knowledge. I am fixing to sell them but we are looking for more info on them first. We know they came from a friend of his. We have the man papers from when he immigrated here and others.

Hello,
I have not been to Kovels for years. Anyway I could use some help in valuing this item from my Dad's estate. He did some movie work, and this item was among his collection.
It is a one of a kind sterling item originally given to Cecil B. DeMille. The bottom is hard for me to read because of my vision, but the marks look like a lion passant, an anchor and possibly a G, all encircled.
It also reads sterling A4089 1 1/2 pint F.
The front reads:
In appreciation of our esteemed citizen
Cecil B. DeMIlle
From the Citizens of Hollywood
July 4 1917
Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.
