Toby Jug
Q: I have a toby jug called the “Pirate Maid” by Shorter & Son, Staffordshire. It’s one of a set based on the Gilbert and Sullivan opera “The Pirates of Penzance.” It’s about 9 3/4 inches high. It’s stamped “D’Oyly Carte Opera Company, Shorter & Son, Staffordshire” and signed “B Silvester” on the bottom. What is it worth?
