Lighters
Lighters for cigarettes and cigars are collectible. Cigarettes became popular in the late nineteenth century, and with the cigarette came matches and cigarette lighters. All types of lighters are collected, from solid gold to the first of the recent disposable lighters. Most examples found were made after 1940. The most common lighter today is the disposable butane cigarette lighter. Some lighters may be found in the Jewelry category.
