Nakara |

|
Nakara is a trade name for a white glassware made about 1900 by the C F. Monroe Company of Meriden, Connecticut. It was decorated in pastel colors. The glass was very similar to another glass made by the company called Wave Crest. It has an acid finish and beaded or raised rococo scrolls. The company closed in 1916. Boxes for use on a dressing table are the most commonly found Nakara pieces. The mark is not found on every piece.
