Coronation Coronation

Coronation souvenirs have been made since the 1800s. Pottery, glass, tin, silver, and paper objects with a picture of the monarchs and date have been sold at many coronations. The pieces that mention King Edward VIII, the king who was never crowned, are not rare; collectors should be sure to check values before buying. Records of coronations go back to 1290 B.C. with the Egyptians, but no souvenirs still exist. Related pieces are found in the Commemorative category.
