|
Charlie Chaplin, the famous comedian, actor, and filmmaker, lived from 1889 to 1977. Charlie Chaplin came to America as a vaudeville comedian in 1910 and scored his first hit with the sketch "A Night in an English Music Hall." He made his first movie in 1913. He did the movie The Tramp in 1915. The character of the Tramp has remained famous, and in the 1980s appeared in a series of television commercials for computers. Dolls, candy containers, and all sorts of memorabilia with the image of Charlie's Tramp are collected. Some of his silent films are considered classics and are often shown on old movie sites. Pieces are being made even today. |
