I find myself wearing automatic watches almost exclusively these days. i have a number of quartz watches as well but they generally don't see much wrist time. I have thought about a winder but haven't pulled the trigger and as I have thought about it, I'm not sure I ever will. I like setting my watch. It is a relaxing little ritual. I'll pick out the watch for the occasion, sit on the end of my bed, gently coax the mechanism back to life and maneuver the hands to the correct time/date. It only takes a few moments.

I'm pretty most of us have all sorts of deadlines, responsibilities and generally busy lives with constant demands on our time. A few moments of interaction with these tiny machines is genuinely satisfying and one of the aspects I truly appreciate about this obsessi
