    Pottery & Porcelain Marks – Words & Initials – X: Joseph Fouque/Jean-Francois Pelloquin, started in 1749, used an "X" in its pottery mark. The company from Moustiers, France made faience and tableware until 1852. An "X" mark often means the piece is a "second," it has a manufactory flaw.
