Crescent Crescent

Pottery & Porcelain Marks – Crescent: Marks shaped like crescents first appeared in the late 19th century. They have both simple (rough sketch of a crescent with line borders) and more elaborate (detailed borders, with stars, company name and/or city) designs. While most of the crescents face to the right, some face top to bottom. There are also marks of two crescents locked together, facing opposite directions.
