A: If your comic book is original and not a copy, it is worth a lot of money. It is the first issue of Action Comics and the first Superman comic book. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster created Superman in 1932 but weren't able to find a newspaper willing to run the comic strip. National Allied Publications, which later became DC Comics, bought the strips to run in comic-book form. This issue, with the cover dated June 1938, was actually published in April that year. It sold for 10 cents. Today copies in very good condition can sell for thousands or even millions of dollars. A copy in excellent condition sold at auction for $2.16 million dollars in December 2011, a record price for any comic book. However, this comic book has been reprinted several times and someone has to look at your comic book in person to determine if it is an original or a more recent reprint.
