A rare blue pickle bottle sold on eBay for $16,200 in April. Maine Antique Digest (August 2012) reported that the seller, Carol Bickle of Pennsylvania, had bought the bottle in a box lot at an estate sale. Bickle said the bottle had a label attached to it that said it cost $25 at a 1976 sale. Bickle put the bottle on eBay and wrote more and more description as she answered questions for possible bidders. The blue (not cobalt) bottle is 10 1/2 inches high, 3 3/8 inches across and has embossing, an expanded neck, and an aqua lip. Two bidders fought it out at the end, taking the price from $7,889 to the final $16,200 bid by Kim Kokles, a well-known serious bottle collector from Texas.

Your clear pickle jar is very common and retails for about $35-45. The blue pickle was a very rare color- that’s why it sold for so much.
i do have both of the smaller bottles in the picture. can you give me some information about them
I have a bottle just like it except it clear! I had no idea it is a pickle bottle? Can u tell me is the clear bottle worth as much? Rhonda
Re: the small aqua blue bottle in the picture with the blue pickle bottle: Could you provide information about that bottle?
