The U.S. Department of Agriculture declared July to be National Blueberry Month in 1999. Blueberries are grown in about 35 states and are not only a delicious treat but are an antioxidant powerhouse.

Take the family to pick fresh blueberries, make a blueberry buckle, crumble or pie, and then serve it with beverages in a water set like this one. It’s carnival glass and the pattern is "Blueberry." It was made by Fenton Art Glass Co. (1905 – present) of Williamstown, West Virginia, about 1912.
 
The 9 1/2-inch pitcher and six 4-inch tumblers sold for $270 at a Jeffrey S. Evans auction in Virginia. Condition is very important in determining the value of carnival glass. Evans told us the blueberry water set in perfect condition is worth several thousand dollars. This  pitcher and five of the tumblers were cracked, so he estimated the set at a very low price and, since the damage is described in the descriptiion, the buyer knew it was a damaged set.
