November 2011

A Louis Vuitton wardrobe trunk sold for $9,775 at a September 2011 Fairfield Auction sale held in Monroe, Conn. We are seeing lots of Vuitton luggage at auctions. Many of the pieces are being used as furniture--suitcases as tables, a wardrobe as a dresser.

When our daughter was born we were living in a c.1695 house with few closets.
The room for the new baby had no closets but I had purchased an old Jordan Marsh
trunk, complete with birch hangers and a hat box, at a yard sale and that became
the closet/dresser for the baby. Still have the trunk in the attic.
