Q: This teacup and saucer are marked "Crest-O-Gold Warranted 22k Hand Painted." They came with a matching stand. Could you tell me anything about this and what the set is worth?

A: This mark was used by Sabin Industries, Inc., of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, a company founded by Samuel Sabin in 1946. The company bought white china, decorated it, and sold it to retailers. Most of the blanks were made by Mt. Clemens Pottery of Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Sabin Industries was bought by Chase Enterprises in about 1967. It was run by Samuel Sabin and David Chase. Chase owned Mt. Clemens Pottery and, later, McCoy Pottery. The Sabin factory burned down in 1979 and all of its work was moved to Mt. Clemens Pottery. A Sabina Line was made until 1987. Plates like yours with a decal of a colonial couple, called "George and Martha" by collectors, were made in the 1950s. Value of your cup and saucer: $15 to $25.

I have the same George and Martha design on a pie set with 5 small plates, one
larger plate and a pie server. Any idea of their value?
Thanks
