Q: Can you tell me what this is and its possible worth? It's marked "Made in Austria, Ernst W…, Turn Wein."

A: You have an Art Nouveau plaque made by the Ernst Wahliss porcelain factory, which operated under that name in Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia (now Trnovany, Czech Republic), from 1894 until 1905. Wahliss bought the Alfred Stellmacher Porcelain Factory in Turn in 1894 and ran it under his own name. He died in 1900 and his sons took over the business. The factory was renamed Alexandra Porcelain Works Ernst Wahliss in 1905, so your plaque was made sometime between 1894 and 1905. Similar plaques sell for as little as $150 up to several hundred dollars.
